What type of care is needed?

CARE ACROSS ENGLAND, ONE AREA AT A TIME

Other directories list everyone. We don’t.

We are a tailored care directory that features as a vetted marketplace for our care-seekers. That means we individually quality assess providers on Find-Care and only those that pass those standards are allowed to be listed.

How we rank and vet
Every rating verified against the CQC register and re-checked at least every 90 days.
Not sure which to search?

Two kinds of care. Pick the one that fits today.

Both are regulated by the Care Quality Commission, both are searched by postcode district, and both are free to search. Here is how families usually tell them apart.

Is Find-Care free for families?
Yes. There is no charge to search the site, view a profile, or request a shortlist, and no account is required. Providers pay an introduction fee for qualifying enquiries.
Do you list every care home in my area?
No. Find-Care lists a service only where we have verified a Good or Outstanding rating, or where the service is registered but not yet rated and has passed our vetting. A provider may also be absent because they have not applied to be listed.
Where do the CQC ratings come from?
From the Care Quality Commission’s public register. A member of the Find-Care team reads the register entry and records the rating against the provider. Providers cannot set or change it, and ratings are re-checked at least every 90 days.
How do you choose which providers receive my enquiry?
We identify every listed provider covering the postcode district you searched, remove any that cannot accept the enquiry, and select up to 3 of the remainder at random. Each provider in that pool has the same chance. You are told who they are before you confirm.
Are sponsored placements part of the search results?
No. A sponsored placement appears in a separate box marked Sponsored, above the results. It is not included in the results list and does not affect the order of it.
Is Find-Care connected to the NHS or the CQC?
No. Find-Care is an independent company with no connection to the NHS, the Care Quality Commission or any local authority, and does not act on behalf of any of them.
